Jeremiah Baldwin

Research Assistant 2023

Jeremiah Baldwin (he/him) is a fourth-year undergraduate student triple-majoring in African and African Diaspora Studies, Rhetoric and Writing, and Government with double minors in LGBTQ Studies and Educational Psychology. Baldwin is intrigued by the intersections of race, sexuality, and the law, specifically by the ways that legal systems interpret, handle, and impact Black gay men. Baldwin's work consists of him using an intersectional approach to deconstruct the single-axis framework that inflicts institutional harm upon Black LGBTQ+ persons. Today, he is excited to continue being an advocate for Black LGBTQ+ people with IUPRA and Dr. Nessette Falu in her reproductive health lab. Upon graduation, Baldwin intends to become a practicing international human rights lawyer who seeks to empower marginalized communities.
